This program was created to be able to watch partially downloaded DivX (AVI) movies.
It can rebuild or strip the index part of the movie, which is at the end of the file.

If you have a partially downloaded movie and you want to look in it, then open the file
with DivFix and use the "Rebuild Index" function. Now you can look the movie. If you want
to continue the download, open the file again with DivFix, use the "Strip Index" function,
finish the download and then use the "Rebuild Index" again to correct the file-size in the
AVI header (the only data which is changed by DivFix from the original movie).
You can use DivFix with command-line parameters too (and you can use wildcards). For detailed help on the parameters use "DivFix.exe /?".
3. Known bugs:
In some cases after using DivFix, the source file remain locked and cannot be deleted,
but this looks like a WindowsXP bug for me.
Some people reported problems using DivFix with the XVID codec, but unfortunately it
works correctly all of my XVID films... :)
There should be still some I/O-error (but hey, this is the first and only
program i made with Borland Delphi... :). If you can send me a video that
produce such error, i will try to fix it.

Background of ETManager
ETManager is an ET Starter Pro alternative. Though it might not be as sophisticated as ET Starter Pro as currently my programming ability does not allow me to fully utilise the library used by ET Starter Pro to query servers so I decided to use et.trackbase.net with credits given.
I have some features in mind to make it different from ET Starter Pro. Look forward to it. All I can say is, you might not need to change Server IPs in the future whenever server admins move their servers to another IP this solves the problem of trying to spread the word of the new IP when a server change is required. You can always connect to the newest Server IP without any change from the userside.
Furthermore, you can also download ET Maps in the server rotation in advance before even launching ET.exe (Support for mods maybe added if I can figure out a good way to do so), this solves the problem of having to wait to download all the maps one by one especially for new players who are new to the server’s map rotation. Players can enjoy a better ET gaming experience without the need to keep disconnecting to download a new map in the server rotation which they do not have in their etmain. To put it simply, instead of being userside, it will be serverside. Server admins just need to change the Server IP from their end or update their map rotation and the changes will take effect for those who uses ETManager. I call this the database system or the repository system as I thought of two different methods to implement this system. Server admins can choose the method which suits them better. All the user need to do is add the database or repository url given by the server admin and all the servers controlled by the server admin will be auto added to the user’s ETManager. Of course, the local mode which ET Starter Pro has introduced will still be available if users want to control everything by themselves without the aid of server admins as seen in one of the images below where under “Serverlist mode” the selection “Local” is selected.
Note: ETManager is still in early alpha stages, in other words, not everything works as planned. Though I have code many features it is still not complete as I want it to be so it is still in alpha stage. Don’t worry about the unregistered portion as you might have notice. The program is free. The registration function is just for beta testing purposes for certain users to test beta features not completed or still in testing phase. ETManager has been worked on for a very long time, development is based on my motivation and amount of free time available for me. I am still in the progress of learning programming so I am still a beginner. I apologise if some features are not as sophisticated as you might hope for. I am learning while programming this software so you can treat it as my first project. I also apologise if you see some empty boxes or default icons. Those boxes are meant to be where the banners, logos, images, etc are supposed to be placed but due to me being inexperienced in designing I decided to leave it empty for now. It is also the least of my priorities right now.

ETManager’s auto updater does not auto install updates for ETManager and instead points to my development website which has not been updated for a long time and does not have any download links for ETManager. (However, it will still notify you if a new version of ETManager is available.)
Initial ET Configuration Page is not coded yet. (You can just click the Next button to skip it.)
Errors are not displayed properly yet and there is no error reporting system as of now. (You can just comment below or private message me if you encounter any errors and I will try my best to fix it.)
Database System and Repository System are not working yet. Please use “Local” in the meantime.

Those are the features and known issues I can think of as of now, I may have missed some and I am sorry if I did.
With regards to documentation, I will create an ETManager documentation when I have the time. I plan to finish coding more features first especially the repository system before creating the documentation since the repository system requires some explaining to server administrators on how it actually works and how to set it up.
As for my development website, though my forum profile and in ETManager both stated my website link, it is important to note that my website has not been updated for a long time due to most of my free time being spend on ETManager. I will update it when I have the time.

You might have noticed that VirusTotal scan showed that as of 22 March 2015, the detection ratio is 1/57. Only Zillya detect it as Tool.InjDll.Win32.142. I am not sure why this occur but as you can see from the rest of the scan report by 56 other antivirus softwares, ETManager is clean of virus. The only reason why I can think of it detecting ETManager is likely due to ETManager being a new tool and only a few users used it so they do not have much data on ETManager.
If you want to compare hashes, you can download a free program call HashTab by Implbits. Install it and then right click on ETManager Installer and under Properties, click “File Hashes” and you can check and compare the installer’s hashes with the one I have posted above. If they match means you have downloaded the correct ETManager Installer. If it doesn’t, it is most likely not my tool.

Question: Why am I not able to patch my ET or connect to an ET server?
Answer: This may be because you did not run ETManager as an administrator hence, ETManager may not have the administrative privileges or rights to patch your ET or run ET.exe. Please also ensure you entered the correct ET.exe Path and ET Directory Path. You can change this by going to the Main page of ETManager and then at the top left hand corner click “Menu” then “Options” followed by “General”. Remember to click the save button after you finish making your changes. If it is a new ETManager Installation it is possible that for some reasons the Initial ETManager checks were not performed, please reset ETManager by clicking Menu which is located on the top left hand corner of ETManager’s Main Page then click “Developers” followed by “Reset ETManager”. Click yes when asked if you want to reset ETManager and the application will reset and restart. You should see the initial ETManager checks being performed for your new ETManager Installation.
Question: ETManager suddenly disappeared even though I installed it?
Answer: It may be because your antivirus has removed it by mistake. I can assure you that I have no malicious intent and have not included or code any files that might harm your computer in the form of a virus though I do not provide any warranty for the use of ETManager. I personally use Norton Internet Security, it did not detect ETManager as a virus though there was once while I was testing it did remove ETManager due to it being high risk caused by the lack of data on ETManager since it is a new tool and only a few users used it. Question: Why does my ETManager shows unregistered version. Does that mean I have to pay for it?
Answer: No, you don’t have to pay for it. ETManager is a free program created by me. The registration feature is so that in the future it will be easier for me to allow certain users such as beta testers to test ETManager by giving them access to beta features not yet ready for the public. Anyone can sign up as a beta tester though it takes time for me to review the requests and send out product keys for beta testers to activate. As you might have notice, the registration feature is not finished yet. The details on How to Register will be released in the future. 0. About EasyGen
EasyGen is free.
With EasyGen you build up terrains and export them as Radiant source map
(including alphamap and metahsaders).
Bitmap import/export is also supported.
- Return To Castle Wolfenstein
- generally all games based on Quake3 engine, who need a source map(.map), an
alphamap(.pcx) and a metashader script(.shader) to compile a terrain entity.
(if you want to to learn more about this process read the Official Terrain
Manual written by Paul Jaquays contained in the latest GTK installations)
Make sure to extract all files contained in the zip in the same folder.
After you've extracted the zip, EasyGen folder should looks something like

EasyGen will not run if 'btnexgenipl32.dll' is not in the same folder.
Also EasyGen needs to know your work mod folder under <your_game> root folder
(ie baseq3\, missionpack\, main\ etc etc), you will be prompted to browse for
that asa you start EasyGen. I repeat for the last time, you need to browse for
a MOD folder, not for the <your_game> root folder.
- Terrain shape manipulation through several modifiers (Hill,Cone etc etc).
- Program your own modifiers with an easy asm like language. Read
'custom_modifier.txt' to learn more.
- Direct export source map plus alphamap and metashader script.
- Alphamap import/export.
- Bitmap import/export.
- Models (md3) are loaded automatically from <your_game>/<your_mod>/models/
- Import brushes from a map file. Brushes are only used as space references to
aid positiong the terrain entity. Bruhses manipulation is not supported by
EasyGen and BRUSHES are NOT exported toghether with the terrain. Only the
TERRAIN ENTITY itself is exported and the models you have inserted.
* Curved patches are not imported.
* Texturing is not supported for imported brushes, they will only appear as
flat shaded polygons.
- Terrain import from a map file (and related alphamap and metashader). This
should work in the most of the cases.
* tcmod scale is ignored
- To exclude triangles from export:
- select MODIFIER TAB.
- click the pink triangle button on the toolbar (the one with the red cross)
- SHIFT+LEFTCLK on a triangle
- Upgrading shader templates (templates/*.*) is useful if the author of the
compiler (ydnar) makes come modifications to the compiler itself (q3map2.exe).
Replacing old templates with the new ones will ensure that EasyGen will export
shaders that will work with the new version of the compiler.
3. Known Bugs
- Resizing the width(x|y) of the grid when lock is OFF does not resize the
alphamap. (altering divisions does it).
- I don't know what could happen if you use textures of different sizes, if you
don't want get in troubles use textures of all the same sizes (all 256x256 or
all 128x128, ...)

Q: What the hell is this gray and white grid?
A: you can get the damned grid for several reasons:
1. the width of each division along X and/or Y axis is not a power of 2. Use
128 or 192 or 256(most used). You set these values from the Grid TAB,
'Div.Width.', enter two values (one along X and other along Y, generally
the same), then press Apply on the right.
2. You have played with the keys of the terrain entity from Radiant, or
renamed and/or edited the alphamap and shader files generated by EasyGen.
To do this you ust know exactly what are you doing because there are
linked references by names in that stuff. (filename and names inside text
3. Corrupted shaders? Try moving out custom pk3 from you mod folder.
4. Use unique names. One time I named my egn save file 'test.egn'. It caused
to export a test.pcx, a test.shader with a test/terrain shader name. The
infamous grid appeared. I saved the same terrain as 'nemo_happy_test.egn',
exported the stuff and no hologrid appeared.
Q: Why do the textures look fine from EasyGen and from Quake3 are all shifted
along a direction?
A: This seems to be a bug of some q3map versions. To fix this edit your
alphamap(PCX) exported by EasyGen with a 2D graphic program such as
PaintShopPro and remove the first vertical line of pixels. If the original
alphamap was 33x33 the final one must 32x33. Sounds strange but it works.

I made it at first because on Linux I couldn't use image-et to rewind demos, later I compiled it for Windows too, because I liked the new features, and I wanted to use it instead of image-et, which is a great tool but more movie-making oriented
The main purpose of this modified version is to check possible cheaters demos, but you might like such features as demo unlagging, movement graph, watching demos from other players p.o.v., attacker view, even for reasons other than cheater busting.
This et version is not compatible with etpro (because etpro requires original et2.60b), but you can use Wolfcam (included in this zip) to watch etpro demos.

It's just a single executable, it creates no extra cvars in your config, but it's better if you create a separate ET folder with it, as I did. On Windows I also have image-et in the same separate ET install.
(That is, I copied all my Enemy Territory folder to some other location, including all mods, and I copied this new ET there, where the original et.exe is).
This way I can have extra pk3 for textures, and I can keep the settings and configs separated from my main ET installation. I also have image-et and Wolfcam there.
Of course you can keep it together with your normal ET if you like, it won't modify your config or anything, I just prefer to keep it separate to have different settings.
To start, just run this ET version instead of the usual et.exe (or et.x86 on Linux).
Remember that you cannot connect to any servers with this one, and on Linux sound should work out of the box without et-sdl-sound, so you don't need it (tested on Fedora and Arch Linux).
This ET version is only for viewing demos, don't play with it!
I disabled the /connect command, so it shouldn't be possible anyway. It's a modified et, so if you play with punkbuster on, it could be taken as a cheat, because it's different from the original 2.60b. Again, use it only for demo review. I disabled /connect for this reason.
/demo_unlag auto enables the auto-unlagger. It's the best option, if you want to see players in a position very close to where you saw them in game (if you recorded yourself) or where the player you recorded saw them (if you record someone else).
It makes an interpolation similar to antilag, and it reads the ping of the player you are watching automatically, in real time. If the demo switches to a different player with a different ping (for example when you die), or the player you watch has lags, enemies are still adjusted in real time to a position very close to where the recorded player saw them.
If you watch the demo from a different player's point of view (I mean different than the one originally in the demo, using /demo_follow command) auto unlagger doesn't unlag anything, you have to use manual unlagger in this case (see below) and look at the scoreboard to see his ping.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Since with auto-unlagger enemies are unlagged with the real recorded player's ping, and this ping can be laggy/unsteady, you might see enemies lagging when he lags.
This doesn't happen in standard ET, or if you use the manual unlagger. (In that case, you would see players lag only if they lag themselves).
You can safely choose auto unlag for most situations, auto unlagger is tweaked to show enemies close to where you saw them in game. Or you can specify a fixed ping manually (see below).
This will activate the manual unlagger.
Example: you are watching a demo of a player with 150 ping, then you type /demo_unlag 150 in your game console.
If you type the command without any value, it will show you the current value. Current unlag value is also shown in the infotext on top of your game screen.
You can check the estimated ping (of the player recorded in the demo) in the infotext above in your screen (it will be missing if you follow another player) or you can check all pings by pressing tab, and looking at the scoreboard (only when this info was recorded in the demo).
With this command you will basically move enemies in the past, this way you won't see the player aiming 'behind' the target anymore. Since a server frame is 50ms, in theory it makes no sense to use values that are not a multiple of 50. That's because only the auto-unlagger (see above) interpolates players, this manual one moves them back a fixed number of server frames.
You can check player pings as I explained above, or guess the right value by watching a fight, if the player hits behind the target raise unlag, if he aims ahead (and hits) lower it. In general, those 'dust things' when he hits should be on the target, not behind or ahead.
/demo_unlag off disables the demo unlagger. You will see players aiming in the past, like in standard ET. So you won't see what they saw during the game, players with antilag aim on the target, and they will appear as aiming behind, players not using antilag have to aim ahead in game, and you will see them aiming on the target in the demo.
In both cases their aim will be behind, if compared to where they really aimed. That's the standard ET behaviour.
I suggest to always unlag demos, unless you really have a reason not to do so.
Example: you want to jump (or go back) to 7:50? You type /demo_seektime 7:50
(hint: you can also type 7:60 instead of 8:00, etc. there is no check, so be careful when you type times, the format is min:sec but seconds can be >= 60
this can be also useful if you want to add something to seconds, and you are too lazy to do the proper maths )
Example: to go back 10 seconds type: /demo_seekrelative -10
Use this if you know the servertime (like with image-et). If you just type it, it will tell you the current servertime.
Later, you can go back to that servertime, if you type that number after the command.
Not recommended, unless you are familiar with image-et and you wanna use the same format, but it could be useful in some maps where the clock is changed by the map script (time bonuses...). In that case the normal seek times could fail, and you might want to use this one instead.
you can check the server time in the infotext above in your game screen.
if you want to go back at the start of the demo, you can just type: /demo_seek_svtime 0
Every time you'll rewind or go forward with any of these commands, timescale will be set to 0, so you won't miss the beginning of the action. You need to put timescale back to 1 manually (numpad 5, or space)
This command shows the last demo played (useful when you are in the main menu again, and you forgot )
/demo_force_fov [fovx fovy off]
This command forces a cg_fov without limits (i.e. you can set it lower than 90 to zoom)
you can set fovx and fovy separately, type /demo_force_fov off to disable.
This command sets the custom cg_fov to use when you hold SHIFT.
(you can set a very low value to zoom, for example 20 would be like sniper zoom)
This is to set the alternative timescale to use when you hold CTRL.
example: /demo_ctrl_timescale 0.2
(by default, ctrl slows down, and alt speeds up.)
This is to set the alternative timescale to use when you hold ALT.
example: /demo_alt_timescale 5
(by default, ctrl slows down, and alt speeds up.)
new r_shownormals values:
/r_shownormals 1 and 2 are the same as standard et.
/r_shownormals 3 -> only players, version 1
/r_shownormals 4 -> only players, version 2
/r_shownormals 5 -> only players, with colors (red and blue) for axis and allies
/r_shownormals 6 or 7
these show normals only for axis (6) or allies (7). The color is taken from r_triscolor (like in the default et command r_showtris) so you can change it as you like.
note: it's based on player skin, so coverts with uni will appear as belonging to the other team.
the format for r_triscolor is "r g b alpha"
for example, you want a white map with black shownormals? type:
/r_triscolor "0 0 0 1"
1.0 = full alpha, so /r_triscolor "0 0 0 0.5" would make it half transparent, etc.
you can also play with /r_normallength values (as in the original game)
If you set it to 1, you will see no screenshakes when the player is hit. This is useful to check their real aim better, if you suspect they are aimbotting. Set back to 0 to disable. This is a command not a cvar, so it won't be stored. This modified et version doesn't have any new cvars, only new commands.
Shows a list of all clients, together with their client numbers.
/demo_playernames [0 - 3]
Shows player names, 0 = off, 1 = on, 2 = enemies only, 3 = team mates only
Follows player slot number n, when that player view is available.
(To check player numbers, type /demo_listplayers)
It's impossible to see an action from another player's point of view, as if you were really speccing him. Some things will be wrong (no leaning, for example). But their position and aim will be correct. You can follow another player only when he is in the same zone as the player who recorded the demo.
Of course, since he could be in another 'zone', he could be able to see players that you can't see, and those players will be missing from the camera view. It's not a bug, those players are just missing from the data in your demo. This command is useful if you want to see someone playing, but you want to play yourself too, so you can't spec him. Record a demo from your point of view, then watch it from his pov.
Follows all players who attack the recorded player. (This could be useful if you want to see how everyone kills you, you record a demo, then use this command to watch the demo from all your attacker's point of view.)
Stops following other players.
Note2: read this only for etpro demos and wolfcam
If you use wolfcam to watch etpro demos, you have 2 choices: /demo_follow and wolfcam's command /follow. Which one should you use?
If you use /demo_follow, then the unlagger will work, if you use wolfcam's /follow command, the unlagger will unlag the wrong player, because the game doesn't know you are speccing another player.
So, if you don't want to unlag, you can use wolfcam's /follow command. Otherwise use /demo_follow
This applies only to wolfcam, not to other mods.
This draws a graph of choosen player's movement. (To check player numbers, type /demo_listplayers).
This graph could be useful to check for player lag (the infamous 'laggers' or players with low maxpackets)
In the graph you have 2 parts:
The blue part is the 'ideal' speed, that is the speed/movement that player should ideally have (actually it's impossible to have it even if you play in lan)
The yellow part is the actual speed the player had in the server frames.
As you can easily see, nobody has the yellow graph perfectly matching the blue one, but players who don't send packets to the server in an even way (low maxpackets, isp lag, downloading, etc.) will have bigger differences.
They basically move slower for 1 frame then all of a sudden they compensate for that by moving faster, so they can make quicker movements in short times, if compared to non-laggers.
The average difference for a player who doesn't lag should be around 10-20% max, but you can compare different players to have an idea.
(Occasional lag spikes could raise the average, until the lag spike is gone from the graph)
'Ground diff.' is the average amount of extra movement they can do in 1 server frame, calculated only when they are on the ground (not jumping, etc.). This too should be as small as possible.
Automatically sets r_shownormals to 6 or 7, according to the 'specced' player's team (i.e. if he is in axis, you will see shownormals for allies and vice versa).
It will also set realview to 1, and unlagger to 'auto'.
Remember that you can change r_shownormals colors using /r_triscolor (see above)
toggles r_shownormals between 0 and the last value you used (defaults to 5 if you didn't set to something else)

Clean-ETMAIN is a fast and simple utility that cleans up the ET game folders by deleting junk pk3 files, mini-mods, annoying custom menus, and excessive server files. It will also reduce the number of total files in your etmain folder since too many files causes game instability and corruption. It also has the option to delete the profile.pid file. The utility is safe, and does not delete stock ET game files, large maps, or major mod files. It does not install anything on your computer. You can run it as often as you like.
WHY I MADE IT :
As a clan admin for ET, I got tired of our members complaining that other clans were taking over our menus.
These other clan menus blocked our menus from working right.
Most players do not know how to delete these menus manually. So I made this utility to solve that problem.
I issue it to everyone in our clan. All they have to do is run it and reconnect to our clan servers and the menus are fixed!

TECH NOTES :
This is an executable file created mainly from windows batch scripts. The utility works by searching for the signatures of custom menus. It scans character names, file sizes, and locations. Since server owners have to use these characteristics to make an effective "take-over" menu, the utility will find and delete them easily. It uses a combination of path deletion and advanced search scripts to remove files beginning with "~" "z" and ending with .tmp .pid in the ET directories. It also looks for small .pk3 files under 1mb excluding game essential.
There is always the possibility of batch scripts triggering an AV alert. If it does, simply disregard.
Know that this utility is safe and contains no malicious software.
The author of this software is not responsible for any missing or deleted custom files in the etmain, etpub, or ecsmod folders, as the whole point of this software is to remove such files. If it is your desire to regain deleted custom files, simply reconnect to the server where you got them from. Other than that this utility does not change the ET game or operating system in any way shape or form an so the author is not responsible for any loss of data, problems, system instability, corruption, differences, changes, or inconveniences resulting before, during, or after the utility is used.
