Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is a free and open source multiplayer first-person shooter set during World War II and heavily focused on teamwork. More than a decade after its release, after spending countless hours of escorting tanks and trucks, stealing gold and radar parts and transmitting confidential documents, there comes a project which aims to relaunch and dust off a game which consistently refused to go down.

Bergen map

Over the summer development has been going slower than usual, but we don't want to leave you completely hanging. While we are still wrapping our heads around a few issues blocking the next release, a sneak peek into the map-porting section might help lighten the mood. These are work in progress shots, which means the areas shown are still subject to change.

The river ruin has been changed to give the impression of an outpost/guardpost and is now equipped with an alarm box to call for reinforcements, a bench to rest, a furnace to keep the coffee flowing and a footlocker for energy bars and magazines.

In this ruin the openings have been widened to make access and travel easier. Aside from some wooden frames and planks, that's it.

Added some camouflage netting to make the bunker system less obvious to enemy spy planes.

Added a bit more functionality to the forward bunkers with additional footlockers, gunracks and alarm boxes.

The back entrance bunker has been a bit 'stream-lined', the room is now a rectangle with the doors directly facing each other. The health and ammo cabinet shown here is simply due to the fact that there is no working script right now. They are part of the LMS version and are also featured in the original Bergen. In Objective mode they are not present.

Here you can see the corridor connecting the back entrance with the submarine bay.

This is it for now. We will try to provide you with these kind of sneak peeks a bit more regularily to keep the anticipation high and the spirit flowing.

ET:Legacy, the modern remake of "Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory", has a new 3D artist join their Devteam. He is in the process of remaking all the weapons from "Wolf:ET" and would like the Wolfenstein Community to vote on which gun he should create next for this exciting project.

We have a choice between the British MkII Sten Gun and the German MP40. Please vote by commenting below his latest Youtube video. Subscribe to his channel too in order to keep up to date with his progress and to show your support, please, folks.

latest news

splashdamage sources

It is with great pleasure that today we can finally announce the newest feature that will make it into the next version.

Legacy_Royale_logo.png

Given the recent uprising of Battleroyale games, we certainly didn't want to miss out and therefore moved the primary development focus on implementing a Battleroyale gamemode into ET: Legacy. It will be introduced in the upcoming 2.76 release. We hope that you are as happy as we are, since this is a truly huge opportunity to attract new players to ET: Legacy

Features:
• Based on the original Last-Man-Standing gamemode
• No more teams, but Free-For-All
• So far it only supports the 6 standard maps
• Playercount will change depending on the map-size
• You can now collect all weapons you find. No limit.
• Introduced several power-ups from RtCW, like Health-packs, Flak-Jacket, weapon-specific ammo

I do apologize, unfortunately, I made this year's April Fool's joke a bit too believable :D
Sorry, if I got your hopes up.

If you have suggestions about what you would like to see in the game though, post them here. Just keep in mind, that with legacy mod we want to stay as close to etmain and etpro as possible. Unfortunately, we don't have the workforce to work on two mods (legacy and a 'fun' mod based on legacy) simultaneously.

Haha! Good One! I went for it all the way!

If you can trick people when they are expecting to be tricked, you the man!
Only the best AFD jokes have this effect, so don't apologize...

Kate, the link seems to be broken, Facebook can't find the page.

But I searched a bit and found his twitter handle: https://antman.info/social/

I'll contact him there and see how it goes. Thank you for the hint, I somehow thought he was inactive, but that's great news.

These "ETLegacy" videos showing the comparison between the original and new version of the game are superb. Here's one that features the classic map, "Siwa Oasis" B| :
