Install the silent folder into the root of your Enemy Territory Installation.
I have developed a config for etmain that is generic and optimized.
// Overview //
This config has the following adjustments:
seta com_hunkmegs "256"
seta com_soundmegs "64"
seta com_zonemegs "48"
seta com_maxfps "125"
seta cl_maxpackets "100"
seta snaps "40"
seta r_mode "-1"
seta rate 128000
bind p playdead
bind k kill
All controls under "MOVE" and "USE WEAPONS" are all unbinded, you will need to reconfigure your controls.
The default name is "ETPlayer" to keep the file generic, you will need to set your playername.
all graphics settings are set at high, with the resolution set at 1024x768 (to keep the file generic)
// To Install:
Delete the profiles folder from all mods, you will need to do this for the new config to take effect properly for those mods*. Place the included etconfig.cfg file into your profile in etmain, replacing any existing etconfig. Start the game and start reconfiguring your settings, such as setting your playername, controls, and screen resolution. *you can disregard step 1 if you are new to the game, or freshly reinstalling with no profiles.
You can also use this if you are new to the game.
Auto-Optimize ET Settings
Purpose: Automatically sets the optimized settings for ET.
Settings changed when using this pk3:
seta com_hunkmegs 256
seta com_soundmegs 64
seta com_zonemegs 48
seta com_maxfps 125
seta cl_maxpackets 100
seta rate 56000
seta snaps 40
These settings will optimize your ET Gameplay while also preventing the hunk_alloc errors.
// Installation //
Cut and paste the PK3 included in this .zip into your "etmain" directory.
Note: you will need to launch the game and then restart the game after installing this PK3 for the new settings to take effect.
No Quarter is a modification for the freely available multi-player game, Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory by Splash Damage.
This Mod offers the public player a unique gaming experience with new weapons, extra class skills and many more new additions and features.
This thread contains all of the versions of No Quarter, from 1.0.2 to 1.2.9b6, in their original .zips
The last release of No Quarter is 1.2.9b6 - Modified: August 7, 2010.
Here is the NQ Wiki on Web Archive: No Quarter Wiki, you will need to go here for all the information on the cvars and shrubbot features.
NOTE: NoQuarter 1.2.7 and later require ET to be patched to 2.60b, it will not run on any lower et version.
A big thank you to the people at shitstorm for making this extremely fun to play on mod!
This mod also supports GeoIP for country flags,
you can get the latest database here: http://geolite.maxmind.com/download/geoip/database/GeoLiteCountry/GeoIP.dat.gz
I have developed a generic menu for those having trouble like i did getting a menu to work on Silent 0.9.0 without crashing your servers,
All you need to do with this menu is simply customize it for your servers*.
*This package is for server admins who have some degree of knowledge for coding menus on ET, you don't have to be an expert to customize this menu but you need to understand some basic ET programming for modifying this menu's pk3.
If you guys loved that awesome sunset background from NoQuarter, then have it show up at your game's startup!
i have stripped this background from the NoQuarter Mod's files and made it into a mini theme for etmain! so now you may enjoy this background when your game starts up, have fun!
to install: Place the .pk3 into your etmain folder, and delete to uninstall.
NOTE: do not remove the "zzz" prefix from the filename, this pk3 needs that to override the default background. (Quick Access menu NOT included.)
*Reuploaded because removing the original version from the old thread is impossible, my change is that i put it in a .zip archive.
I just developed this file because the music in the antifronted edition of cortex_who is awful in our opinion.
it replaces the music with the original cortexbeta_who music.
Just stick this pk3 in your etmain folder (where your maps go), and don't remove the "~" prefix from the file.
The readme included in the .zip has all the information about this pk3.
This is the wishing wand extracted from the christmas aio package.
so this is a standalone pk3 that contains just the wand.
have fun poking people with a wand!
